My name is Karissa Heard, the proud owner of Karissa Dawn Photography! I'm a lifestyle photographer in the small city of Swift Current, Sk. If you don't know where that is... google it + I'll travel to you! lol

I met my handsome hubby, in the early months of my Grade 12 year. Fast forward 13 years, we are now married with our adorable fur children, Ollie & Eli. In spring of 2021, we added a human child to our family! We welcomed a beautiful daughter, Scottie Grace + just recently, another beautiful little girl, Henlee Belle!

Just about 8 years ago, I honestly didn't know what my passion was. I found out in early 2016 I was going to be an auntie! I was SO pumped! I decided I wanted to capture his life. I'm honestly not sure why I appointed this as my job since I was just the auntie haha but I went out + bought my first camera! Once it was purchased, I KNEW this was what I was missing. Between trust in God, friends, co-workers and family this became something SO passionate in my life and I decided to take the plunge and dive right in!

I'm so glad I did!! 2019 was a turning point for me + as of 2021, I'm 100% a full time photographer!

There's just something about being behind the lens. I absolutely love the types of clients I have attracted. I've tried to gear my style away from the super posey pictures & I'm more about the work out type pictures. I'll make you run, skip, lick + spin. We will be sweaty and it'll be great. Trust me.

I have found my passion, this is what I love.

True + raw moments is my goal. I want your significant other to say after the shoot, "that was fun babe, it wasn't bad at all.... THAT'S my goal! The end result with photos you'll cherish + hang up all over your house. The moments between one another that you maybe haven't had in a long time. I want you to feel love. Feel the reasons why you choose this person.
